A History of the World
The Forgotten Valley
The Forgotten Valley is a densely forested valley in the shape of a crescent carved out of a large mountain chain along the Western Coast.
Due to the area’s isolated geographic location and lack of large settlements, it is a remote corner of the world often overlooked by many nations and unknown to most people.
The Fa'loa River, meaning Melting Heart in High Elvish, is ice melt from the peaks of the Ice Bite Spine Mountain Range, cascading into the heart of the valley and culminating in a 200-foot waterfall.
No known people inhabit the Forgotten Valley and no known nation or sovereignty exerts control over it.

The Pinch
A small village at the intersection of five sparsely used roads to all directions of the continent. Because of its strategic location, the Pinch has been continuously inhabited in some degree for centuries.
Only a few buildings make up the Pinch, with the largest of them being the Handsome Bear Inn near the village center. The landscape surrounding the Pinch is dotted with small farms and large fields.
Recently, the Merchants Guild has been purchasing many of the existing buildings in the Pinch for its own designs as well as new construction. A makeshift market was erected in the village center upon the guild’s arrival and has maintained a constant presence since. However, with such a small population and infrequent travelers, the market sits largely empty of patrons for a majority of the days.

Merchants Guild
Decades ago, a collection of wealthy entrepreneurs based in the city of Mercantum along the Golden River founded a guild with the goal of ushering in a new age of commerce and development throughout the land.
The purple banner of the Merchants Guild can now be found in all corners of the continent, sparking heavy investments for the extraction and transportation of resources and goods wherever it goes. With convoys of wagons and fleets of ships, the guild has quickly become one of the most dominant organizations in the known world.
